Pursuant to Section 9(2) of the Act on Citizenship:
“A person may be released from the state bond of the Slovak Republic if they prove that they hold the citizenship of another state, or a promise of its granting in the event of release from the state bond of the Slovak Republic.”
A person may not be released from the state bond of the Slovak Republic if:
a) criminal proceedings are pending against them, they are serving a sentence, or they have not
served/completed a sentence imposed by a final judgment of a Slovak court;
b) they have outstanding arrears to the tax authority, customs authority, or a municipality; arrears of social insurance contributions; or the health insurance institution records past-due claims against them under special legislation in the Slovak Republic.
