Pursuant to Section 7(2)(a):
An applicant who has been granted residence in the territory of the Slovak Republic may be granted citizenship of the Slovak Republic without meeting the condition set out in paragraph 1(a), unless this Act provides otherwise, if the applicant has contracted marriage with a citizen of the Slovak Republic, such marriage is in existence, and the applicant has been living in that marriage in a common household in the territory of the Slovak Republic for at least five years immediately preceding the filing of the application for the granting of Slovak citizenship.
