Hello,
If you wish to use a Slovak criminal record extract abroad, an apostille or super-legalization is required. An apostille is sufficient for most countries.
Procedure:
- You can request the criminal record extract at any post office branch or at the prosecutor’s office.
- Send the original to the address: Legalization Center, Pluhová 17, 831 03 Bratislava. You can also contact the Legalization Center in Bratislava at 0907 999 909 or office@legalizacnecentrum.sk.

1. If you already have the extract
You can deliver the original extract to our office in person, by post, or by courier.
An extract issued by a post office is also accepted.
Apostille price: 135 EUR / document
Processing time: 1 – 3 days
Official translation: 30 EUR / standard page
2. If you need to obtain the extract electronically (when not present in Slovakia)
If you have an ID card with a chip (or a residence card for foreigners) and a BOK code,
we can send you instructions on how to obtain the electronic extract.
From the electronic version, we will then arrange:

conversion to paper form,

apostille,
-
official translation.
Additional fee for processing the electronic version: + 60 EUR
Documents are sent worldwide by Slovak Post or DHL courier (according to your preference).
3. If you wish to handle everything in one place (personal assistance)
Simply visit our office with your identity document and BOK code.
We will request the criminal record extract on-site and then arrange the apostille, translation, and delivery of the document.
Additional fee for assistance with electronic processing: + 60 EUR
Note: For personal assistance, it is necessary to schedule an appointment in advance.
