ANSWER:
In response to your question, the Trade Licensing Office in Bratislava has provided the following:
– Regarding point 1: Consulting and education in the field of Ayurveda – this can be conducted under a free trade license. You can register this business activity with the trade office under the name: “Consulting and education in the field of Ayurveda within the scope of a free trade license.”
– Regarding point 2: Marma therapy – this falls under a regulated trade called “Massage services”, which requires proof of professional competence in accordance with Annex 2 of the Trade Licensing Act No. 455/1991 Coll.
– Regarding point 3: Application of Ayurvedic therapies – if the effects are therapeutic, this activity is excluded from the Trade Licensing Act. If the therapies are for regenerative purposes, they would fall under the trade “Massage services.”
– Regarding point 5: Sale of healthy food products – this can be operated under a free trade license: “Purchase of goods for the purpose of their sale to the final consumer (retail) or to other business operators (wholesale).”
– Regarding point 6: Blending herbs and spices according to client needs – this also qualifies as a free trade license: “Blending herbs and spices according to client needs within the scope of a free trade license.”
– As for yoga, this activity is considered a sport professional activity. First, you must register with the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic as a sport professional. After registration, you must then register the activity of a sport professional for business purposes through the District Office Bratislava, Trade Licensing Department. The application form can be found on the website of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic: https://www.minv.sk/?ministry-of-interior under the tab Information for Sport Professionals.
